- Markup vs MarginA 30% markup is not a 30% margin. See the difference in dollars with a real example, and which one to use when you price what you make.
- How Much to Pay YourselfChoose an hourly rate for your own time and put it into the price of every item you make, so each sale pays for the making as well as the materials.
- Fixed Costs per ProductSpread monthly costs like internet, electricity and equipment across the items you expect to sell, so every sale pays its share of the bills.

- Pricing with Marketplace FeesWhy adding a marketplace fee at the end leaves you short, and how to work your price backwards from the fees so you keep your margin on every sale.
Questions
Is Tagzinho really free?
Yes. The calculator, the guides and saving your products are free, and nothing asks you to sign up.
How do I work out the price of a handmade product?
Add up what one unit costs: its share of the materials, the packaging, your time and your monthly fixed costs. Then add your profit margin and, if you sell on a marketplace, work the price backwards so the fee comes out of the price and not out of your profit.
What profit margin should I use?
There is no single right number. Tagzinho starts at 30% so you can see the effect, and you can change it. Check that the price pays for your time and that people where you sell still buy.
Why does my price go up so much on a marketplace?
Because the fee is a share of the final price. To keep the same profit, the price has to pay the fee on top of everything else. Tagzinho solves that exactly instead of adding the fee at the end.
Do I need an account?
No. Products you save stay in this browser, and you can back them up to a file at any time.
